Our Lady of Guadalupe Icon to Visit St. Mary Church

by Scott on October 29, 2012

Knights of Columbus Council 8396 is bringing a very special image of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Mary Church from November 12th – 18th. This icon is one of a few unique images that have been touched to St. Juan Diego’s tilma in Mexico City containing the original image of Our Lady.

The image has also been blessed by our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI. The Knights have been sending these images out to various councils around the country and our Athens council is privileged to receive one for a full week.
