Parish Picnic 2010

by Scott on June 28, 2010

St. Mary’s Parish celebrated our annual picnic yesterday following the 10:00 Mass. The weather was hot and humid, but two Slip N Slides were on hand for the children to enjoy and cool down, as well as a wading pool for our youngest parishioners. Christine Maentz painted faces and Sissy Aparicio-Rascon served snow cones outside, while Wanda Redding called BINGO in the air conditioned narthex. In spite of the heat, this was one cool event.

A big thanks to Knights of Columbus Council 8396 for cooking the hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as to Sue Granger, Melanie Fortuna and the many others who had a hand in making the picnic a success. Please feel free to name the others in a comment below.

Great photos of a lot of great folks, Scott. Father William can be proud, as well as the Knights who did another good job. Lew

Tom Fortsch was outstanding! He supplied 7 of the tents used and the knowledge to lead the group to have them put up quickly. He worked all day from set up to clean up. He deserves a big thank you!
